Brylee – A moment in time
We were camping at Westport and every day we ran to the beach. Then one day the waves were a bit rough, but that didn’t stop us from going swimming. I felt the sand hitting my face and I could smell all the salt around me. I could see the waves coming at me. We were having so much fun and then our friend’s mum wanted to take a video of us bodyboarding. She took a video of us so many times, but they didn’t work. So she did one more and it did not go well. We didn’t know that it was a big one. So we rode it and we couldn’t stop and we crashed into a big log. I got bruised and my friend Salett was groaning, and Connor stopped on the sand, and my brother Kayden rolled in the sand.
Graysen – Possums should be eliminated
I really want possums to be eliminated in NZ and here’s why. Back in the old days, we wanted Aussies to send over fur hats and clothes. Now in 2025, WE hate possums. They destroy our native bushes, bird eggs, and much more. We need to kill all of the possums.
Ship them back
We don’t want possums anymore, so why don’t we just ship them back to Aussie? If we ship possums back to Aussie, we won’t have to worry about them anymore because the coyotes would probably kill all of the possums. If Aussie doesn’t want them back, we could send them to a remote desert where there’s no food, water, and it’s really, really hot. If that doesn’t work, we can send the possums to an island with no life and just let them live there until they die.
Non-painful death
If we kill all the possums in the world, we would respect their deaths even though the things they destroyed are bushes, eggs, and rubbish bins. But if we do kill all of the possums, we could use their fur for hats, gloves, and clothes. We could use a non-painful poison to kill all the possums because it wouldn’t hurt the possums, and we want to give the possums a painless death. Instead of killing all the possums, we could try to tame the possums so they would be less violent.
Possums are destroying NZ
When possums first came to New Zealand, they were only meant for clothes, hats, and gloves. But in the big 25, they are very annoying and are ruining New Zealand. They destroy bird nests, kill little birds, and eat every bird egg. Also, they are always eating our native bushes. They destroy the bushes we have. And they always scratch their roofs and hide up in our roofs because they think it’s their homes.
In conclusion, I think possums should be killed. Possums are very annoying if we ship them back to Aussie, but if they don’t want them, we could send them to the desert to be eliminated. If we can’t send them to the desert, we could use a poison to kill the possums. When possums are hungry, they absolutely destroy our native bushes and demolish bird eggs.

Children watch too much television!
Children watch too much television nowadays, so I think it’s about time we put an end to it.
They don’t like the sun or sumthin’..
Children really need to go outside, so they can get vitamin D and stay healthy, but they do the opposite and stay inside all day. Children don’t like being outside for some unknown reason. Some say that a little bit of the population is so brainwashed that they forget what outside is. And a bunch of these kids break their devices and then demand for more, so what’s the point of having any if they’re just gonna break the thing that you spent a lotta money on. And these kids are half of the actual population, some ain’t even kids, they’re fully grown adults. And on the internet there are also very inappropriate things that aren’t for kids. This shows you why dinosaurs deserved earth more than us.
Wonderin’ why?
I wonder though why did someone make youtube, tiktock, instagram, facebook, and twitter, I mean I do understand entertainment, but there are some things on youtube that don’t entertain anyone. And this very thing is called “BRAINROT” a new word that was established in 2023. Now brainrot is more than just a word, it’s basically an entire culture by now. Every kid from 4 – 9 years old has it, some kids still have it even if they’re over the average age. So I believe that we should shut off the internet for a few weeks or so, because then the kids can get vitamin d, and not be a caveman in their room all day.
In conclusion T.V’s should be used for quality entertainment instead of adding a new culture to Earth.

Possums should be eliminated from New Zealand
Do you think that possums should be eliminated from New Zealand? They destroy the environment!!! Plus New Zealand birds aren’t used to predators and also possums aren’t from New Zealand. So why should we let them stay in New Zealand? All they do is destroy the wildlife.
Possums destroy the environment
Firstly, they destroy the environment. Possums kill native plants, causing the plant to die. They eat over native animal’s food which means native animals may struggle to find food to eat regularly. Possums also eat other animals and their eggs which can cause native animals population to go down and possum population to go up.
New Zealand birds aren’t used to pretotars
Secondly, New Zealand birds aren’t adapted to predators. This means that native birds are under threat and because New Zealand birds have never experienced predators they don’t know how to cope with possums. Plus possums are used to pretotars, so they find it really easy with no predators around to stop them and control their population. That means that their population can grow rapidly.
Possums aren’t from New Zealand
Finally, possums aren’t from New Zealand, this means that possums aren’t native. Why should we protect possums if they aren’t even native? Because they are not native this means they find life easier. For them it is really easy to find enough food to survive that they actually end up eating a lot more food, which means the females can have two babies. That only makes the possums population grow faster.
In conclusion, possums should be eliminated from New Zealand, because they destroy the environment. Plus New Zealand birds aren’t used to pretotars. Also possums aren’t even from New Zealand.

Sharks that attack humans should be killed
I truly and strongly disagree that sharks should be killed if they kill a human. Sharks are incredibly cool creatures that belong in our oceans. If we kill sharks then our ocean wouldn’t really be an ocean because when you think about the sea you might think about sharks, sand and water. Shark attacks will happen and they do but most times they will mistake you. Sharks do really cool things like when I saw a whale shark in the dark and the whole sea looked like the night sky because the dots on their back looked like little stars. It is really sad for sharks because you wouldn’t think that picking them up in a net would kill them but they can drown. You may say sharks are supposed to breathe under water but sometimes they pop up after a while.
Sometimes people approach sharks and provoke them. Sharks will mistake you for sea life but still I don’t think we should kill them. Sharks will properly have a bite of you but not like your blood. Sharks can attack because they get confused. Sharks don’t have hands so they use their mouths to investigate. In some spaces sharks might bite you to mark their territory. Sharks might attack you because of hunger. They will bite you but they wont really like the taste because they would rather seal and fish. Sharks can kill you by biting your body but half the time they will bite your arm.
Sharks eat a variety of foods. Small sharks eat fish,crabs, turtles and lobster because they are small and easy to hunt. Larger sharks eat Great white sharks, tiger sharks and bull sharks. Large sharks also eat marine mammals like Seals and sea lions. When sharks eat normal they are not actually eating humans they are eating other foods. Hammer heads sharks eat stingrays and Horn sharks have strong teeth to eat shellfish.
When fishing for sharks you need to be really careful.
By catching kills heaps of sea life to just be thrown back in the ocean. When you put down a net in the ocean sharks will be attracted to the food and then they will drown from the net. Shark gills have really good pressure so when they swim backward they will drown because of the ocean currents. When fishermen go out they throw out a lot of sea fish that they just throw away because the fish is too small.
Sharks are amazing creatures and they should not be killed because everybody makes mistakes. If there were no sharks then the population of the sea would be going crazy. Sharks don’t mean to kill you but they have no hands so they have to use their mouths.
